Great Garage Sale Finds!

So Saturday morning I drug Jeffrey and Peyton around to some garage sales in the Mexico area. We were pretty successful in our buys, or at least I think we were. We got Peyton a little Tikes climb and slide outside toy, a little tikes vanity set complete with a blow dryer, two different colors of lipstick and two different colors of fingernail polish, we also got her a leapfrog shop and pretend shopping cart that comes with 10 different food items, which she can scan with a scanner that is attached to the cart and it tells her what it is and counts with her. We also purchased a sit and stand stroller. That will be very handy in the future when we other kiddos. All in all I would say we had a good day. :)
Sunday we had rehearsal for Uncle Eric and Aunt Sara's wedding that is coming up this Friday night. Peyton is the flower girl and I can't wait to watch her walk down the aisle. The little boy that she is walking with is older, maybe 6-ish? Anyway, she just grabs ahold of his hand and goes where ever he will take her. So cute. I will post pictures next week some time, hopefully, I start my new job next week so I hope I will have some free time to post. :)
Also a quick update on Zac Talley. For those of you that don't know what is going on, Zac is my 7 year old cousin who was diagnosed last June with a brain tumor. At the end of May he was sent home and placed on Hospice. Zac is still hanging in there, he is the strongest person I know. If everyone can just add Zac to your prayer list and say a little prayer for him that would be great. Here is a link to his website, it has all his information on it: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/zactalley Thank you all!

It's Official

Okay it's official, I will be starting at Rusk on June 22nd. I'm super excited about this opportunity, but really nervous at the same time. I am going to have a lot of learning to do at the beginning. Not only with it being a new job but also re-teaching myself stuff that I learnt in nursing school since this is totally a different direction then what I am use too! But I can't wait! I am ready for the challenge!
House news, with me starting a new job, the bank requires 2 paychecks before they will let us start therefore we will be waiting at least another month. There shouldn't be a problem since I will be making a lot more money over there, just something the bank has to do. We are waiting on an appraisal right now, so hopefully we will get that done soon, then as soon as I get my second check we can get started. Now we are hoping to get done by Christmas. We'll see. Once we finally get started it really shouldn't take too long since we are just doing an earth contact home, but there are always those little problems that you never see coming.
Also, Jeffrey and I will be taking a mini vacation in late July, July 24-27 (I think) to go the the Allstar 400 Nascar race at the Brickyard! Woohoo, I'm super excited, we have some of the best seats in the house. Not excited about leaving Peyton for the weekend but she will be in good hands, I'm sure.

We have a walker!

Okay so first thing YAY for me for posting twice in one week. lol.

Second and most importantly we have a walker now. Tuesday night Peyton started walking. Jeffrey and I were on one side of the living room and she was on the other, she turned around, looked at us and just started walking towards us like she had been doing it forever! So cute. The down side, she hates riding in her stroller now, she thinks that she should be walking or pushing it. We went to Columbia wed and ran by the mall for a minute and she thought she needed to push the stroller around the mall, if she got picked up or put in the stroller she would scream bloody murder! Hmmmmmm, I wonder where she gets her attitude...... Peyton has also cut her 9th tooth and working on her 10th. She seems to get them in pairs.

Other than that not real updates, still waiting to set a start date at Rusk. I talked to them Thursday and they received my drug screen results, which were negative (duh), now just waiting on the criminal background check to come back.

Here are some pictures for you guys to enjoy. Have a great weekend!

Been awhile.........

Been awhile since I last blogged. Sorry, again! Hopefully soon I will have more time off to blog, for those of you that don't know I have gone on a job interview at Rusk Rehab in Columbia, everything went good there, did my drug screen and criminal back ground check last week and they said as long as those come back good we can set a hire date!! I would be working 3 12-hour shifts (for the most part) a week, it will be a mixture of days and nights, and every other weekend. So, hopefully I will find something out for sure this week. I'm gonna miss Dr. Kelley's office but I feel it is time for a change. :)
Peyton is doing wonderful. She was put in the hospital overnight on May 11 for fluids, she had a viral infection that she got dehydrated with so we needed to get her some fluids. Jan met me at the office with Peyton and Dr. Kelley looked at her to make sure that was what we needed to do, then Peyton and I headed to the hospital. I called Jeffrey on the way, he was on his way home from work so he went on home and took a shower and packed a bag for us and came up with my mom and dad. Peyton did a great job with the IV, the nurses had to stick her about 10 times because she was so dehydrated that her veins just kept collapsing when they inserted the IV cath into her veins, but luckily they were finally able to get it in her hand so we didn't have to shave her head! Poor baby. We were in the hospital for less than 24 hours, as soon as they got the IV in Peyton began drinking again (go figure) and she gained a pound (of fluids) in 6 hours. The next morning she was perking up again and playing and feeling better, ready to get out of the hospital. The discontinued her IV, but they wanted to be sure that she was going to continue drinking so I gave her a bath and got her freshened up and she was ready to play some more. She found her bath cart out in the hallway and started pushing it up and down the hallway at the hospital. The nurses loved that and so did Peyton, she was soaking up all attention, as if she doesn't get enough of that at home! :) It was good to see her getting back to her normal self again though! By lunch time Dr. Kelley decided we were good to go and discharged us home. I stayed home with her Thursday and Friday as we felt she would be willing to drink and eat more with me at home with her then she would for the grandparents. Nothing against them, but as everyone knows, when babies are sick they just want their mommies. But she is doing great now and back to being Peyton!
We had a great Memorial Day weekend. Friday night Jeff and Gina came over for supper and we sat out on the deck and ate and just enjoyed the nice weather. Love this time of year. I think Peyton fed most of her supper to the dogs though. Saturday we spent all day outside. Peyton and I played out in the yard while Jeffrey and Papa Freels dug a little pond for the pigs to play in, the Jeffrey and I worked on getting the pool the rest of the way cleaned out while Peyton was napping. Then we headed down to Jeff and Gina's. Jeffrey and the guys worked on Jeff's mud truck while Gina, Peyton and I sat under the shade tree and played in Peyton's pool! Thank you Granny and Papa for that! Sunday we had a family get together at Granny and Papa Joe's for Granny's birthday. It was a wonderful time, EVERYONE was there, we were able to get family pictures of EVERYONE. Peyton had so much fun playing with the other kiddos and it wore her out, she was in bed for the night by 7:30. Monday mom and dad had a BBQ at their house. Peyton showed Uncle Rob how she calls the cows and how she feeds the cows. Then she had corn on the cob for the first time, so cute. She had to have a piece for each hand though otherwise she wasn't happy. It was adorable! Then Papa thought we needed to take his mud truck back to the mud pit, so Jeffrey and Peyton got on the John Deere, Papa in the mud truck, Rob, mom and I in Rob's jeep and off we went. All I'm gonna say is that the mud truck is still back in the mud pit! :)
Anyway, I think this post is long enough, hopefully I will have something else to post about later this week! Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Easter photos

Okay so once again I'm a little late! Hope everyone had a great Easter! We had a blast, busy but good. We started at Nana and Papa Bob's house where we got to see spend some time with Uncle Robbie. We did dinner with them Saturday evening. Peyton got eggs full of goodies for her (NO candy), then she got clothes, and a giraffe that she is able to ride on. She LOVES it.
Sunday morning we went to church, after Peyton put on a show for everyone during church it was off to Grandma Jan's and Grandpa Richard's where we got to see Uncle Eric, Aunt Sara, Uncle Jeff and Aunt Kimberly. There she got more goodies, more clothes, and a huge sheep! :)
Then we were off to my Aunt Barb's house (dad's side). That was quite the adventure. On this side of the family there are 5 babies all within a year of each other (1 born March 2008, then Peyton in July, then 1 at the beginning of Aug, 1 at the end of Aug and the last one just born in Jan). Plus there are a bunch of "older" kids. We do 3, yes 3 egg hunts over there. The first one being baby and daddy vs. other baby and daddy's (baby is in the stroller). So, we finally got all the dad's lined up with their stroller and babies, and off they go...... it was pretty funny watching them run through the yard picking up eggs and throwing them in the basket on the strollers while the babies are just hanging out, looking around like "what in the world is going on". Then the second hunt is for the older kids, just a normal egg hunt. They run around like crazy picking up as many eggs as they can. Then the third and final egg hunt is for the big kids, or the adults my age. Each year the rules are different. This year we were partnered up with are significant other, friend, cousin, whoever, then we had to get a stroller, and here were the rules, we both had to have one hand on the stroller at all times, plus we each got handed a red plastic cup that we had to hang on to, PLUS they gave us a hard boiled egg to put inside our cups (top of cups together holding the egg in) and we couldn't break our egg. CRAZY. It was a great time!!!
This week we have been busy busy. My sister in law, Kimberly, and I are throwing our future sister in law, Sara, a wedding shower on Sunday so we have been trying to get everything finalized for that.
And here is the moment everyone has been waiting for, Peyton's Easter pictures. They are adorable if I do say so myself! :) Anyway, I will hopefully have more to blog about next week! Have a great weekend!

Peyton's first swing and first table foods

So, since we finally got some good weather while Jeffrey and I were off we put up Peyton's swing. She LOVES it. I can't wait for more nice weather so we can play more outside!

On April 2 Peyton turned 9 months old! Unbelieveable! She got the okay from the doctor to start on table foods. YAY. Her first meal? Mashed Potatos of course. Foods she likes: mashed potatos, mac and cheese, ham, bacon, scrambled eggs. Foods she dislikes: green beans! :)

I really don't have anything else to post. We did get her Easter pictures taken so we should have them back this Thursday or Friday so I will post those once we get them. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Catching up from the Weekend

We had a busy, but great, weekend. Friday night we had dinner at a our friends Jeff and Gina's house, it was great. Then Saturday we went to Columbia, went to the Mall got a few PJ's for Peyton and then went to Sam's for Diapers and some groceries. Columbia was a mad house. Saturday afternoon/evening we went Rodger and Michelle's house for Dinner and so Jacob and Peyton could play. Jacob didn't really know what to think about Peyton wanting to play with all of his toys but eventually he warmed up a little to her and he would let her play with some of his toys. Then Sunday we had lunch at Jeffrey's mom and dad's house, then back home. Busy, busy, busy. Hope everyone had a great weekend!
I also wanted to say that after reading my cousin's blog I realized that I didn't have our blog set up to allow anonymous readers to leave comments, so I went back and changed some settings so now anyone should be able to leave comments, but please, if you leave an anonymous comment please leave your name so we know who left it! Thanks!
Here are the pictures that I have been promising of Peyton, I hope you all enjoy.
